Uttara Kannada; Heavy rain forecast till June 19: District admin issues warning

In Uttara Kannada district, from Today 14 July till 19th in view of the Indian Meteorological Department's forecast of heavy rains, the district administration has instructed the public and tourists to take necessary precautionary measures.

In a release, the District Collector's office said that emergency services toll free number 1077, land line number 08382-229857 and WhatsApp number 94835 11015 should be contacted for any issues related to natural disasters.

During rain and wind, children and public should take shelter in safe places without standing near or under dangerous electric poles, buildings, trees.
